I have been in this blogging game for nearly a year and it has been such a great journey. However, I thought it is about time I properly share why I even chose to blog about hair.
It all started over two years, when I was in Thailand with my friend, taking a break from PhD. I remember I was at the beach, reading a book and for some reason I thought, why so many young people, my age already achieved a lot more then I did? I know that comparison kills the joy, but I just couldn’t get that idea out of my head.
I had constant question in my head asking what I am good at? What I can share with people ? I work in science, I am trying to understand hair follicle and I just like talking a lot. Then boom – I can talk about hair! And that’s how Hairwonderfulday was born.
However, there is still a bit more for you to read , but I thought I will summarise key points why I blog about hair
I started this blog as a way to teach myself more about hair products and cosmetics. I might be spending my days looking at the hair follicle, but I still wanted more knowledge how cosmetic products are created, how they can affect our hair and what is true and what is a myth. However, reading scientific papers on Saturday night might not be first choice, but reading those papers to write a blog and share with this community ?Count me in!
When I started I had no idea how blogging and growing works. I have to admit, I only started my Instagram game in June and Twitter still requires a lot of work. However, I met absolutely wonderful people, especially ladies from STEM and TheScientificBeauty, her support and motivation really keeps me going!
As much I enjoy reading other people blogs and oh my there are some absolutely fantastic bloggers out there, I wanted to write about something different and actually share some knowledge with others. Trust me , I love fashion, especially luxury one but I felt I don’t have that talent talking about how many handbags we need this season or what jackets are must to have. My opinion is simple on that – buy one good quality item and look after it and I always prefer saving for something special. However, we should look after our hair and there is a lot more to learn than you can actually think!
I want to follow my dreams. Once I finish my PhD in September I really would like to get a job in a cosmetic industry and create those shampoos and put them on a shelf. I felt that my blogging activity can truly help me to get extra CV points and educate myself more. My PhD is very challenging and after long day hair follicle might be the last thing I want to think about but I truly love talking about hair and sharing everything I know with you. I think I am doing OK at following my dreams.
We all love hair, some might love more some might love less, but it certainly deserves more attention!
I hope this allows you to know Hairwonderfulday better and please let me know what are your hobbies or why you blog – always inspires me reading other people stories!
Have a wonderful day xx
