Finding a right hair shampoo is like finding a right partner to your scalp and hair. I always enjoy trying new products but when it comes to shampoo I am not always keen to take a risk. Unfortunately, I have sensitive scalp and it does get irritated easily. However, I recently came across Kerastase Specifique Bain Anti-Pellicure shampoo that not only has a nice bottle but also key ingredients for my scalp. I decided it was a time to step outside my comfort zone and try this shampoo.
The science behind – zinc pyrithione and salicylic acid are two main ingredients that work against dandruff formation. As a shampoo it also has sulfates that foam and remove the dirt. Even though sulfates have some good and some bad rap, I don’t mind when I see them in shampoos. However, it is silicone free product , which can be good for those who suffer from product build up.
Application on hair – 8/10 the product dissolves well in water and foam allows to remove the dirt and oil from the hair
Scalp feeling – 7/10 it does clean my scalp and does not induce irritation, but I still get a few dandruffs
Smell – 9/10 light, fresh and not too strong
Ingredients/brand – 8/10 as I said before it contains key ingredients to reduce dandruff formation. Personally I like Kerastase products because for some reason it does make hair washing process a bit more special and fancy.
I would recommend Kerastase Specifique to someone who has sensitive scalp and suffer from product build up or even for those who have curly hair.
Have you tried this specific Kerastase shampoo? Or maybe something else worth trying? Please let me know!
Have a wonderful day xx
